Ruffle up your event design!

Ruffles have been sitting quietly on the fashion scene for the last couple of years, but in spring 2010 the "ruffles look" really stormed the catwalks! I love this fashion trend because  the ruffles exude smoldering romance and unapologetic femininity.  This trend actually inspired me to explore how the dress design could be incorporated into the overall event vision. From linens, to flowers and cakes, styling is all about complementing well and reaching a visual balance. Youngsong Martin's table top designs are the perfect example of how a fashion trend can influence or inspire a table design. I am smitten by the elegance and pure sophistication of her designs. Young is a former fashion designer. Her fashion style is infused in her designs  with rich colors, textures and patterns. She dresses her tables and chairs to look sexy and in vogue just like the runway models.
